YOUR VOTE - YOUR VOICE

Local elections are taking place this spring and if you’ve lived in Iceland for three years in a row, you have the right to vote.

Are you interested in learning more about your rights, how local government works, the upcoming elections and how you can take part in the democracy in Iceland? Are you interested in meeting others to discuss issues that matter to you and share experiences?
If you are, we invite you to register and get more information about workshops we will host on the following weekends:

ATH – Change to workshops

The workshops that were supposed to be held in Kópasker are cancelled due to low participation.
-March 7th and 8th in Kópasker. Location: Öxi (above Skerjakolla) - From 10 AM - 17 PM on March 7th and from 13:00-16:00 on March 8th

The workshop that was scheduled to take place in Húsavík on March 15 has been cancelled.
Therefore, there will only be a workshop on March 14 at the Norðurþing Office, from 10:00 to 17:00.
-March 14th and 15th in Húsavík. Location: Garðarsbraut 5 (the office of Norðurþing). From 10 AM - 17 PM on March 14th and from 13:00-16:00 on March 15th

Schedule:
The first part of the workshop is educational and lunch will be served. In the second part, you get an opportunity to make a poster that we will use in a social media campaign under the slogan "My Vote - My Voice" where immigrant residents will be encouraging their peers to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming elections. Children are welcome for the second part, from 15:00-17:00.
